Our organization is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to support the optimization of third-party carrier operations through data analysis and operational execution.

About This Role

  • Execute daily carrier performance monitoring and reporting tasks
  • Support relationship management with assigned carriers by providing exceptional customer service
  • Analyze network losses and implement corrective actions to minimize losses
  • Process and validate carrier data for performance tracking purposes
  • Maintain operational dashboards and regular reports to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Support package return processes for assigned regions and facilitate communication between teams
  • Document standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with the Network Losses team to drive process improvement
  • Assist in data collection and analysis for optimization initiatives to enhance overall performance

A Day in the Life

  • Update dashboards with latest metrics and provide timely feedback to stakeholders
  • Flag issues to the Commercial Carrier Optimization Manager for prompt attention
  • Participate in weekly carrier review meetings to discuss progress and address concerns
  • Present performance data in a clear and concise manner to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Follow up on previous week's action items to ensure timely completion
  • Conduct deep dive analysis on specific network loss areas to identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Update tracking spreadsheets to reflect changes and trends
  • Create visual representations of data for stakeholders to facilitate understanding
  • Collaborate with data analysts on specific queries to provide valuable insights
  • Work on ongoing optimization projects to continuously improve processes and outcomes
  • Update process documentation to reflect changes and improvements
  • Send status updates to key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Support impromptu data requests from stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Troubleshoot dashboard issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption
