As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining robust backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Spring Boot and Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current backend technologies and software engineering methodologies.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, helping them navigate complex challenges and grow professionally.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
Authority and Responsibility:
  • Authority to make strategic technical decisions related to software architecture and design.
  • Access to necessary resources and tools to perform the role effectively.
  • Responsibility for delivering high-quality software solutions on time.
  • Authority to mentor and provide career development support to junior developers.
Internal and External Interactions:
  • Internal: Collaborate with other software developers, QA engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • External: Engage with external stakeholders during product demonstrations or user feedback sessions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of web services and observability technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems and agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively.
