Translation Project Management Team Leader

As a pivotal member of the Project Management division, the Translation Project Management Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing a dedicated team comprising Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Junior Project Managers. This position is essential for ensuring that translation and localization initiatives are executed in alignment with IQVIA's high standards and the specific needs of our clients.


  • Provide daily leadership and mentorship to a team of Junior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers.
  • Drive the recruitment and selection process for new team members.
  • Guarantee compliance with relevant IQVIA procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at both team and individual levels.
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System by all team members.
  • Develop and assess comprehensive Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans when challenges arise.
  • Coordinate the distribution and assignment of translation projects among Project Managers based on specific project needs.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for both internal and external clients, managing their requirements effectively.
  • Support the introduction of new services and processes within the team.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers in managing client accounts and facilitating successful onboarding experiences.
  • Monitor team performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and take necessary actions when targets are not achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Training Lead to support the training and development of junior staff members.
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the Language Services sector, including experience in people management.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in a linguistic, business, or scientific discipline.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities and evolving demands.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities, including data collection, management, and presentation.
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously while demonstrating initiative.
  • Advanced IT skills are essential.
  • Experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools; familiarity with XTRF and/or memoQ is highly desirable.
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
