Complex Claims Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in claims liability and have a strong understanding of coverage issues, damages, and monetary exposures. This role requires the ability to work autonomously, prioritize responsibilities, and meet client service expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Moderate to complex loss adjustment including coverage investigations, analysis, and evaluation of liability, damages, and monetary exposures
  • Detailed and advanced coverage review and analysis of Commercial Excess Policies and MOCs
  • Communicate and coordinate with self-insured clients, carriers, reinsurers, SIR program administrators
  • Litigation management
  • Participate in claim reviews with clients, program administrators, carriers
  • Attend claim review meetings and mediations with clients and carriers; site investigations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or comparable industry experience
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and analyze Commercial P&C coverage
  • Minimum eight (8) years Commercial Liability claims experience related to Auto, General Liability, and Professional Lines liability claims (Employment Practices, Civil Rights, School Board Legal, Law Enforcement, Employee Benefits); ideally with Public Entity liability claims
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Current Indiana adjuster license or qualified to acquire, and any other state licenses as needed
