Electrical Project Manager Job Description

As a project manager for electrical installations on a Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, you will oversee the installation of electrical systems while managing teams of electricians, instrument technicians, and telecom installers. This role involves ensuring proper cable pulling, terminations, glandings, and tray installations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and assigning work to team members, monitoring daily progress, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. This includes conducting toolbox meetings and ensuring lockout/tagout procedures are followed.

Additionally, this role involves supporting testing and pre-commissioning activities, including continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, loop checks, and function tests. You will also coordinate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control and commissioning teams, as well as interface with engineering, planning, and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper cable pulling, terminations, glandings, and tray installations.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in FPSO operations.
  • Seaman's Book and relevant certificates.
