Research Associate - RNA Biology

We are seeking an accomplished researcher to conduct in-depth studies on the regulation of gene expression in Staphylococcus aureus. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing experiments related to RNA regulators and stress-response pathways.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate RNA regulators and their impact on gene expression.
  • Analyze data from various assays, including RNA-protein and RNA-RNA interaction experiments.
  • Develop and characterize mutant bacterial strains to understand the role of specific genes in the regulation of gene expression.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed lab records to ensure research rigor and reproducibility.
  • Support manuscript preparation and contribute to grant writing efforts.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field with a strong background in RNA biology.
  • Proven track record in conducting research in RNA biology or microbial gene regulation.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant molecular techniques, including PCR, sequencing, and microarray analysis.
  • Prior experience working with S. aureus or other gram-positive pathogens is highly desirable.
