Emergency Response Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer emergency care in internal and external areas (fire fighting and first aid).
  • Provide daily updates to members of the emergency brigade present during each work shift.
  • Operate in accordance with internal procedures for emergency control operations.
  • Assist in providing equipment for containment and absorption of chemical product leaks.
  • Conduct daily tests on the communication system.
  • Deliver practical training for brigadiers in emergency scenarios.
  • Inspect and check fire-fighting and protection equipment.
  • Verify fire-fighting services, including inspection and recharging of extinguishers.
  • Visually inspect respiratory protective equipment and record findings.
  • Participate in responding to equipment requiring rescue services and verify personnel have necessary equipment.
  • Conduct inspections of emergency vehicles and request maintenance when required.
  • Provide means and corrections for renewal of technical reports and audits.
  • Assist in conducting simulated operations to combat accidents and rescue individuals.
  • Maintain organized records of inspections and make them easily accessible for possible audits.
  • Check and perform internal routes by assessing traffic conditions.
  • Monitor and inspect hoses and hydrant shelters, utensils, and designated installation areas.
  • Monitor realization, repair, exchange, and maintenance of valves and hydrant connections.
  • Monitor exit, entry, and use of distributed extinguishing units.
  • Administer inspections and operate water monitoring cannons located in the area.
  • Respond to environmental emergencies, contain oil spills, and collect them for identified barrels.
  • Monitor removal of residues from fires, checking risk of new ignition.
  • Conduct monitoring of the fire detection and alarm system, verifying each alarm generated and recording it.
  • Inspect the area daily to detect risks, register findings, and indicate corrective and preventive measures.
  • Perform weekly inspections and tests of pumps making up the fire system.
  • Inspect the emergency lighting system and verify recorded information.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of sprinkler systems in the entire area and verify recorded information.
  • Inspect emergency doors, demarcating the area destined for installation whenever damaged and checking records.
  • Inspect fire blocking valves, lubrication, identification, and recording.
  • Perform inspections of equipment making up the environmental emergency kit, painting, signaling, and recording.
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on surface wind position indicators (windsocks) and record findings.
  • Conduct technical measurements to release confined spaces and other activities in the industrial security area.
  • Provide emergency care in the company and outside when requested by COFIC.
  • Train all company employees in: emergency communication, emergency plan, avoidance plan, and practical training for NR 33 and 35.
