Director of Data Mining Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of our cyber forensics and threat intelligence capabilities, leveraging data mining techniques to uncover meaningful insights from cyber risk data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and lead a team of data analysts and scientists focused on post-breach threat intelligence, fostering collaboration and driving innovation in data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop standardized workflows for post-breach data analysis and reporting, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in data processing and review.
  • Influence technical strategy and resource planning to support the growing cyber forensics and threat intelligence function, aligning with business objectives and priorities.
Your Background:
  • Led end-to-end eDiscovery workflows, including data collection, processing, review, and production in support of cybersecurity incident investigations and litigation, demonstrating expertise in digital evidence preservation and analysis.
  • Collaborated with InfoSec and legal teams to preserve and analyze digital evidence from compromised systems in compliance with chain-of-custody and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), showcasing ability to work effectively across functions and disciplines.
  • Utilized tools such as Relativity, Nuix, and EnCase to perform forensic analysis and identify relevant data across structured and unstructured sources, applying advanced analytical techniques to drive business outcomes.

As a seasoned professional with experience in data mining, machine learning, and statistical techniques, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team, design and implement a data-driven program that fuses cybersecurity intelligence with insurance analytics, and make a direct impact on how we model, price, and mitigate cyber risk in one of the most dynamic areas of insurance.
