Web3 Team Lead

The Chiliz blockchain team is looking for a talented individual to lead our engineering team and drive the development of our products. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic global team and contribute to shaping the future of Web3 in sports and entertainment.
As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic and gifted engineers, working closely with other team leaders in an autonomous and empowering environment where everyone's opinions are valued.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage one of our multi-chapter feature teams to deliver features across our products
- Be a scrum master for the team, leading and managing scrum rituals to ensure smooth planning of sprints, unblocking team members, ensuring fair play for both business and tech sides of the team and stakeholders
- Focus on wellbeing and performance of the team
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s with all team members to build trust and ensure a stable and healthy work environment
- Perform performance reviews and follow probation periods of team members
- Care for the human behind each employee and seek continuous personal growth and career progression
- Lead and empower people with a servant leadership approach, coaching them to fulfill their duties without impediments
- Resolve personal or technical disputes before they turn into conflicts between team members or across teams
- Meet stakeholders to understand the 'why' of the feature, guiding team members on what is being built
- Work with Tech Leads, Product Owner, and engineers to train them in better communication and alignment
- Promote knowledge sharing within the team
- Maintain a clear product backlog with User Stories following Definition of Ready and Definition of Done rules
**Requirements:**
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or at least 5 years of experience in either Frontend, Backend, or QA senior engineering position with mentoring experience
- Understand and have a servant leadership attitude over full-time authoritarian leadership
- Good understanding of agile and scrum methodologies
- Empathetic leader able to work with people from different nationalities and backgrounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prepared to make tough decisions when needed
- Basic knowledge of human psychology to understand people better
- Outcome-oriented, ensuring the team performs well
- Organize team building activities to bring the team together
