At Howard University, we're seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead our STEM Education and Outreach Program. As part of this role, you'll oversee the day-to-day activities of the program, focusing on workforce development for undergraduate students across the RITA UARC consortium.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in any STEM field and 5-7 years of related work experience. Experience working with education and outreach activity teams and STEM students, especially undergraduate students, is also preferred.

We're looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, who can establish priorities, meet deadlines, and perform in a responsible, professional manner. A strong foundation in the core concepts of the Python programming language is essential, including standard libraries, data structures, control flow, testing, and debugging.

In addition to your technical expertise, you should be able to maintain harmonious working relationships with staff, students, faculty, and university officials, as well as conduct research and prepare comprehensive, complex financial and budget reports.

This position requires a U.S. citizen due to U.S. Export Control laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, administering, coordinating, and evaluating new or revised education program goals and objectives. They will implement approved program policies and procedures, ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time, and funding limitations.

The Program Manager will also be responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the STEM Education and Outreach Program, with an emphasis on workforce development for undergraduate students across the RITA UARC consortium.

Key competencies for this role include knowledge of computer applications, skill to design creative outreach activities, oral and written communications skills, and ability to plan, organize, and work with others.

Bachelor's Degree in Any STEM Field
