A top-tier Engineering Manager is sought after to spearhead a team of engineers in enhancing Ubuntu's compatibility with modern hardware.
Job Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for directing a distributed engineering team to develop and implement the best-in-class Ubuntu integration for IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks. They will also collaborate with commercial partners to deliver a seamless, optimised, first-class Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
- Direct a team of engineers to design and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest hardware platforms and software stacks.
- Collaborate with commercial partners to deliver a high-quality Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
- Mentor team members through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely delivery on agreed project milestones.
- Ensure strict quality and reliability standards are maintained.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Linux distributions, debian packaging, and high-performance server-class hardware. They will also have experience managing or leading a team of software engineers and understanding agile software development methodologies.
