As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing industrial automation projects on floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) modules.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of automation solutions for various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.

Your primary focus will be on managing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure successful project execution, from planning to delivery.

  • You will provide technical leadership to your team and ensure that all engineering work is performed in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for various disciplines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure high-quality work.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale automation projects from concept to delivery.
  • Familiarity with various automation technologies, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals.
