The Senior Grants Configuration Specialist plays a critical role in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the Workday Grants Management module to support efficient post-award administration.
- Collaborate with Post Award Services, Grants and Contracts Accounting, Sponsored Programs, IT, and external consultants to optimize and sustain a compliant and responsive Workday environment for sponsored programs.
- Analyze research expenditures and labor distributions in Workday to support federal reporting and internal decision-making.
- Partner with functional teams to map and test updated business processes and grant workflows.
- Collaborate on crosswalks and data clean-up activities related to legacy awards, grant hierarchies, and worktags.
- Develop and run data queries and reports to identify anomalies, monitor usage, and ensure data integrity.
- Strong knowledge of federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) as it relates to invoicing and financial reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Grants or similar ERP grant modules.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise systems for sponsored research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a complex data and system environment.
- Knowledge of post-award processes including invoicing, award setup, and financial reporting.
- Ability to interpret Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and sponsor compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and report generation platforms.
