Job Summary

This is a specialized billing position responsible for verifying benefits related to specialty drug injections and co-pay assistance funds. The role also involves following up with accounts receivable for necessary payer actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify all benefits for scheduled injection appointments.
  • Evaluate patient responsibility and accurately note collection amounts.
  • Obtain pre-authorizations or pre-determinations for each patient to receive treatment with a specialty drug.
  • Monitor assigned schedules for add-ons and changes.
  • Assist with general billing AR tasks as needed, including claims follow-up and calls to insurance providers.
