Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team as a Gene Analysis Expert. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our gene analysis software, HLA Twin and NanoTYPER, which are used in transplant surgery to analyze genomic data from the most complex part of the human genome.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy standalone Java applications, CI/CD tools, bioinformatics tools, data visualization, and performance-critical algorithms.
- Take ownership of specific software components and manage their life cycle, ensuring high-quality and efficient code.
- Collaborate with the development team to research and develop new algorithms, and provide technical expertise to support the team's efforts.
- Adhere to quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability in our software.
- Proven ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Strong skills in Spring Boot and SQL, with experience in developing and deploying large-scale software applications.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision, to achieve goals and objectives.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Degree in technology, biology, computer science, or bioinformatics, with a strong foundation in software development and data analysis.
- Knowledge of genetics or biology, with experience in working with genomic data and bioinformatics tools.
- Familiarity with NGS analysis software and experience in working with large-scale genomic data.
- Experience with Linux, Jira, Confluence, and Git, with a strong understanding of software development workflows and collaboration tools.
