Procurement and Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned procurement and logistics professional to lead our operations in Iraq.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of procurement and logistics principles, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations, and managing logistical operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Sourcing and Contracting: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international vendors and service providers.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and enforce transparent procurement procedures, manage contracts and purchase orders, and maintain organized procurement files and documentation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in procurement and logistics, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, including USAID rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
