Job Description:
The Senior Vendor Manager will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of an importation strategy that meets customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate vendors on Amazon Direct Imports best practices and onboard them efficiently.
- Forge and maintain relationships with senior leaders, finance teams, retail operations, and partners to grow and optimize joint import businesses.
- Develop and enhance vendor relations and import sourcing for cost savings and new product selection.
- Work closely with global stakeholders to ensure alignment and foster collaboration.
- Drive integration between new vendors and Amazon supply chain processes, ensuring compliance and merchandising standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop best practices and contract standards.
- Monitor, analyze, and own key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out-of-stock rates, vendor operational metrics, and marketing investments.
- Coordinate with vendors and Amazon operations to maintain a reliable, operational, and cost-effective flow of goods from ordering to receipt.
- Partner with internal teams to understand systems and variables affecting purchasing and vendor management decisions.
- Lead projects and regular business improvement initiatives.
A Day in the Life:
As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end business ownership of import supply chain processes from manufacturer to availability in our fulfillment centers and developing inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience.
