Senior Vendor Manager- Direct Imports, BR Stores

Overview of Responsibilities

As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will contribute to shaping Amazon's direct import strategy in Brazil. The Cross Border team seeks an analytical candidate to drive the direct import business.

This role requires strong stakeholder management and commercial acumen. You will be responsible for end-to-end business ownership of the import supply chain processes from manufacturer to Fulfillment Centers and develop inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Educate vendors on Amazon Direct Imports.
  2. Build relationships with senior leaders, finance, retail, and partners to grow and optimize the joint import business.
  3. Develop vendor relations and import sourcing for cost savings and new selection.
  4. Work with global stakeholders to maintain alignment.
  5. Drive integration between new vendors and Amazon supply chain, product compliance, and merchandising processes.
  6. Contribute to best practices and contract standards.
  7. Monitor key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out-of-stock rate, vendor operational metrics, and marketing investments.
  8. Collaborate with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure reliable, operational, and cost-effective flow of goods.
  9. Understand internal systems and variables affecting purchasing and vendor management decisions.
  10. Lead projects and regular business improvement initiatives.
A Day in the Life

Retail Managers own the Retail business, managing inputs, driving selection, securing great prices, and increasing convenience/speed to accelerate Amazon's flywheel.

  • 5+ years of Excel experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional/military experience.
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
  • Excel and data tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
