Financial Operations Manager

At Grand Hyatt Rio De Janeiro, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with our corporate strategies and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the hotel's annual budget, including revenue projections, expense allocations, and capital expenditure plans.
- Perform ongoing financial analysis and provide insights on key financial metrics, variances, and trends.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and cost control measures.
- Conduct financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic initiatives and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, corporate policies, and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Monitor and maintain proper internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Supervise the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory requirements related to finance and accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
