As a key member of our international tax team, this Tax Planning Manager role will focus on strategic guidance for direct and indirect tax planning across Brazil and other LATAM countries. You will work closely with business teams and the tax department to understand transactions and initiatives, providing expert advice on tax implications within the AWS space.

About the Role

This position requires strong analytical and critical skills, with the ability to translate complex tax implications into actionable insights for non-tax audiences. Your expertise in Brazilian indirect and direct taxes will enable you to advise business and internal tax teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance on tax planning and compliance for Brazil and other LATAM countries
  • Work closely with business teams and the tax department to understand transactions and initiatives
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize risk and maximize opportunities
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
  • Bachelor degree in Law, Accounting, or Finance, with 5 years of experience in Brazilian indirect taxes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven experience in advising business and internal tax teams on Brazilian indirect and/or direct taxes
