Key Responsibilities
  • Develop underwriting strategy for Brazilian and South Cone markets, focusing on growth and portfolio value;
  • Originate profitable business while maintaining underwriting quality and preserving portfolio integrity;
  • Create solutions tailored to client needs, promoting innovation through new business offerings and products;
  • Implement sales and underwriting initiatives to enhance Swiss Re's presence in Brazil and South Cone;
  • Manage and steer the P&C Facultative portfolio in Brazil and South Cone;
  • Lead and empower local teams, fostering professional development and collaboration;
  • Collaborate across business units and functions to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

About You

We seek a leader who promotes teamwork, develops talent, and fosters cooperation across countries and functions. Key qualifications include:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting, including deep understanding of Brazilian and South Cone markets, products, and trends;
  • Knowledge of Brazilian insurance regulatory environment;
  • Track record as successful sales leader and dealmaker in originating new business;
  • Management skills in developing people, unlocking potential, and mentoring others;
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, additional languages appreciated.
