We are seeking a skilled Metallurgy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating metallurgical processes related to the manufacturing of copper conductors, including energy, automotive, and elevator cables.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor the quality of received materials and guide metallurgical operators on services, machine operations, and proper raw material use to meet production goals.
  2. Prepare reports on metallurgical activities, production data, and operational statistics.
  3. Manage Human Resources, maintain organizational climate, and conduct performance evaluations and feedback.
  4. Ensure execution of Production Plans and compliance with Manufacturing Sheets, making adjustments as needed.
  5. Coordinate copper and aluminum drawing processes, including tool maintenance, quality control, and physicochemical property monitoring.
  6. Lead continuous improvement projects in metallurgical efficiency, loss reduction, and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
  • Intermediate/advanced English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge in metal drawing, conductor properties, heat treatment, metallography.
  • Understanding of manufacturing practices, quality, and process control.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, SAP (a plus), standards interpretation (ABNT, ASTM, IEC).
  • Experience in industrial metallurgical processes, preferably in cable or metallurgy industries.
  • Leadership and team coordination experience.
