Logistics Optimization Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Optimization Specialist to join our team. This role involves developing analytical databases to track key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and control tower views to identify improvement opportunities and achieve operations management goals.

  1. Develop an analytical database to track KPIs, dashboards, and control tower views to help identify improvement opportunities and achieve operations management goals.
  2. Share KPIs with suppliers and lead routine operational performance meetings. Create corrective action plans with carriers.
  3. Map, document, and standardize transportation processes and tools. Develop procedure manuals and train suppliers on innovation and best practices.
  4. Audit carriers based on procedure manuals, identifying improvement opportunities and sharing plans.
  5. Integrate lean thinking into transportation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Promote innovation, sustainable practices, risk reduction, and improved customer experience.
  6. Monitor daily delivery methods, including same-day delivery and pickups. Conduct management meetings to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and uphold quality standards.
