Business Development Manager Role

DiDi’s Business Development team is a core growth engine responsible for creating long-term value through strategic alliances. We build innovative partnerships that expand our ecosystem, unlock new revenue streams, and enhance the user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop high-impact partnership opportunities with major players in key verticals (e.g., finance, travel, retail, telecom).
  • Lead negotiation processes for complex commercial agreements, collaborating with Legal, Finance, and Product to ensure favorable terms.
  • Develop business cases and financial models to justify and prioritize partnership initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders at partner companies to ensure long-term success and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Mentor other members of the BD team and act as a thought leader for partnership strategy.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships, with a strong track record of closing large deals.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, influencing C-level executives.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, building data-driven business cases.
  • A self-starter mentality, navigating ambiguity and managing multiple high-priority projects.
  • Experience in technology, mobility, or fintech industries is advantageous.
