Automating Security Operations

This role focuses on enhancing and optimizing core security processes, improving bot detection, fraud mitigation, phishing investigations, and other security automation efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend software development, with experience working with Python and microservices. They should also have a solid understanding of programming best practices, design patterns, methodologies, and testing.

Responsibilities
  • Develop automation tools and services: design, build, and maintain automation tools that support security operations, managing the full lifecycle from initial requirements to implementation, deployment, and training
  • Leverage modern technologies: use microservices, Kubernetes, Python, and message queues to streamline workflows and enhance security capabilities
  • Collaborate with security analysts: work with security experts to solve automation, security, and engineering challenges, continuously improving tools and services
  • Research and implement new standards: stay updated on emerging trends in security and automation, identifying new technologies and standards to enhance security products and processes
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in backend software development
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Strong understanding of programming best practices, design patterns, methodologies, and testing
  • Experience writing secure code, with knowledge of OWASP security principles
  • Solid experience working with SQL databases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with developing microservices using Docker
Nice to Have
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies
  • Previous involvement in bug bounty programs or a track record of public CVEs and contributions to web application security research
  • Exposure to modern web browser security, web architecture, network protocols, and web automation frameworks
  • Working knowledge of Linux
