About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled EDD Risk Analyst to join our team at Stars Group. As an EDD Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our customer base by conducting thorough risk assessments and due diligence on new and existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) risk assessments on new and existing accounts to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to internal AML procedures in relation to all operations and controls from an AML perspective.
  • Proactively resolve ad-hoc queries related to complex AML cases.
  • Perform periodic reviews of higher-risk accounts as required by our AML policies and procedures.
  • Support the relevant teams within the AML & Fraud department, with investigations of customer alerts identified from our various AML/CFT monitoring triggers and internal reporting mechanisms.
  • Identify, review, and escalate findings regarding high-value and higher-risk customers, such as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in both Portuguese and English.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar AML-related position, or at least 2 years' experience in a Fraud analyst role. iGaming industry experience is not essential but is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and a clear thinker with the ability to analyze, present, and report in a clear, concise, and effective manner to all levels.
  • Experience in customer services or customer-facing roles beneficial.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results in line with deadlines.
  • Proven ability to follow processes and procedures while at the same time able to accept responsibility, make decisions, and suggest process improvements.
  • An ability to build strong working relationships inter and cross-departmentally.
