About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and overall appearance of our facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Cleaning windows, walls, and glass surfaces.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Performing light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting safety hazards to management.
- Ensuring that facilities are secure and properly locked.
- Reporting needs for building or equipment repair to supervisors.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
