Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Python developer to collaborate with our agile team in developing front-end elements and server-side logic. This is a remote, freelance position that requires the ability to work independently and effectively communicate with the team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in back-end development and database design, as well as strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. They should also be familiar with security and scalability principles and have a passion for software architecture, open source, and agile principles.
In this role, you will be responsible for integrating front-end elements with server-side logic using Python language with typing annotations, Litestar web framework, Pyramid web framework, SQLAlchemy (the Python ORM), SQL language, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Git.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining server-side logic using Python and relevant frameworks
- Collaborating with the team to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic
- Ensuring the security and scalability of web applications
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:
- Fluent English
- Ability to work 32-40 hours per week
- Experience with back-end development and database design
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Experience in most of the technologies listed above
- Deep knowledge about security and scalability of web apps
- Interest in software architecture, open source, and agile principles
- Attention to detail and precision in language usage
- Good communication skills: respond promptly to video calls, engage in our Discord server, ask for help when needed, and provide advice proactively
- Willingness to sign an NDA
