We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our IT team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools and High-Performance Computing (HPC) job scheduler.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain EDA tools, HPC job scheduler, and license servers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EDA Tool installation, license servers, and HPC job scheduler.
  • Ensure timely resolution of high-severity incidents, including communications, reporting, and tracking of follow-ups.
  • Monitor system performance and identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation on system configurations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the EDA team to ensure seamless integration of EDA tools and Linux infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical support to internal customers of EDA Tools and HPC job scheduler.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovative technologies and best practices related to EDA Tool installation and configuration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Linux Admin Professional Certification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Linux system administration.
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and servers.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 & 8 and Rocky 8.
  • Experience with FlexLM license servers.
  • Experience with a HPC job scheduler such as LSF, SGE, UGE, PBS Works or Altair Accelerator.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with EDA Tools such as Cadence, Siemens (Mentor Graphics) & Synopsys.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with customers and provide technical assistance.
  • Ability to communicate in non-technical terms to non-technical people.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
