Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and integrating advanced embedded software solutions for radio frequency (RF) applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern C++ programming, with a focus on real-time, multi-threaded systems operating within Linux environments.

You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing embedded software solutions for RF applications using modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20), ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

In addition, you will integrate complex software with RF hardware components, collaborate closely with hardware engineers to achieve seamless and efficient system functionality.

Your expertise will be critical in developing, optimizing, and maintaining multi-threaded, real-time software systems, focusing on efficient resource utilization, low-latency operation, and deterministic behavior in Linux environments, primarily Ubuntu.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimizing domain-specific algorithms, particularly those derived from RF digital signal processing (DSP), to enhance system capabilities and meet stringent performance requirements.
  • Designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test suites and automated test interfaces to validate embedded software, ensuring robust operation under real-world and edge-case conditions.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems at both software and hardware integration levels, utilizing advanced debugging tools, hardware debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) tailored for RF and embedded applications, ensuring ease of integration and extensibility.
  • Writing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, including software designs, architecture specifications, user guides, and API references, adhering to industry best practices and documentation standards.
