Cloud Environment Manager Job

The role of a Cloud Environment Manager involves overseeing the daily operations, migration, and management of cloud environments within a multi-tenant environment. This includes working closely with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and deliver cloud solutions that meet customer needs.

To succeed in this position, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in Agile development. You must be able to collaborate effectively with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the reliability of IBM i environments and customer application chains through proactive incident monitoring and correction.
  • Collaborating with development teams to establish a continuous integration environment that promotes high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in IBM i technology, including bare metal recovery, migration, and administration capabilities.
  • 5+ years of relevant infrastructure or system architecture experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM i virtualized environments and experience with RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2, PHP, and Python programming languages.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience working in a production department, preferably in IT.
  • Familiarity with collaborative methodologies like Agile and Design Thinking.
  • Proficiency in administering IBM i systems, including PTFs, system upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of supervision and logging principles.
  • Experience with BRMS and safeguards.
  • System architectures expertise, including high availability hardware or software solutions.
  • DevOps practices and tools experience, including Ansible and Instana.
  • Basic understanding of system and network security principles.
