Job Summary
This role focuses on the development and maintenance of a leading open-source operating system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with a distributed group to enhance the Linux kernel.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate regularly with colleagues worldwide to drive project success
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel and its distribution by learning from experienced mentors
- Work closely with external teams to deliver cutting-edge platforms
- Analyze and resolve issues within the kernel reported by customers, the community, or discovered through rigorous testing
- Take ownership of various Ubuntu Linux kernel deliveries
- Improve automation and tooling for kernel delivery and testing
- Submit, review, and apply kernel patches in collaboration with internal and external maintainers
- A self-motivated and organized individual able to thrive in a remote work environment
- Professional communication skills with colleagues, business partners, and the open-source community
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Programming experience in C and/or Rust
