About This Opportunity

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and optimization of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret specifications (industry, product, or customer) and convert requirements into final designs with minimal supervision.
  • Draw, organize, and document existing parts to expedite workflow.
  • Support sales and applications with quoting special valve components and assemblies.
  • Create part and/or installation drawings to meet customer specifications.
  • Generate BOM's, parts lists, and user manuals to streamline production.
  • Maintain data within Syteline ERP system for seamless integration.
  • Evaluate products and collect performance data through onsite testing to inform design improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments on design for manufacturing to enhance overall production performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive continuous improvement projects for the manufacturing facility.
  • Document new drafting and file management processes to ensure best practices are shared across the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five years' experience.
  • Experience in designing and testing engineered industrial products is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of ASME valve, piping, or pressure vessel design codes and calculations is an asset.
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as safely navigating a manufacturing environment, extended periods of sitting and using a computer, occasional bending and stooping, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
