A Corporate Legal Expert provides specialized legal counsel to support business growth and development in the Latin American region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Support:
- Offer expert guidance on all aspects of corporate transactions, including strategic business deals and sales.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, managing transactions, and advising on compliance and government regulations.
- Identify and manage legal risks associated with transactions and business operations.
- Advice and Counsel:
- Responsible for: managing an active portfolio of high-risk legal issues related to industrial products and services.
- Advise on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies within relevant areas.
- Assess and minimize legal risks at acceptable levels to businesses supported.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel.
- Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with peers and senior management to best meet company objectives.
- Collaborate with key customers and mid- to senior management across various parts of the organization.
Job Requirements:
Operates independently within designated parameters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Portuguese, English, and Spanish language proficiency.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the bar (or Brazilian equivalent).
- Several years of experience in corporate transactions, contracts, and other commercial deals.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
