Dam Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced Dam Safety Engineer to support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water-retaining structures.
This role will involve conducting analyses and evaluations to identify potential risks and develop design options or recommendations.
Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for preparing contract documents including drawings, specifications, design documentation and criteria, and cost estimates for various new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams and water-retaining structures.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop recommendations for dam safety improvement.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Geotechnical, Geological, or Geotechnical engineering (or related engineering degree).
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in one of the following disciplines: Geotechnical, Geological, Civil/Structural or Hydrology and Hydraulics, or Mechanical engineering or life safety and economic consequence estimation.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- 10 years related experience.
- A minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
