We seek a highly skilled Database Solutions Specialist to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle-based database solutions across hybrid cloud environments.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Oracle database solutions in AWS environments, prioritizing ease of use and adaptability.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle databases running on Linux, ensuring seamless integration with application and infrastructure strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PL/SQL, Python, and shell scripting, streamlining database operations and improving efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business goals and objectives.
  • Define and enforce standards, policies, and best practices for database management.
  • Monitor and improve database performance, manage capacity planning, and implement proactive maintenance strategies to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and peers, promoting knowledge sharing and skills development.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in Oracle Database administration and engineering, with a strong understanding of cloud architectures and scalability.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Linux and related system administration tasks, including backup and recovery procedures.
  • Strong programming skills in PL/SQL, Python, and scripting for automation and data processing.
  • Sound knowledge of database security, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Oracle certifications a plus.
