Job Title: Senior Legal Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Manager to join our team at Avon Cosmetics S.r.l. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law and experience in managing global IP portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IP strategies to identify and protect company assets, working with senior stakeholders in Brazil and Latin America to consolidate the role of the legal department as a business partner.
  • Manage a significant global portfolio of brands, patents, industrial designs, and domain names.
  • Manage litigation and extrajudicial measures in the region, including sending notifications, negotiating and drafting agreements, and judicial actions involving intellectual property and unfair competition.
  • Prepare and negotiate complex contracts (licensing, assignments, coexistence agreements, technology transfer, marketing services, commercial partnerships, influencers, etc.).
  • Provide training for local legal teams and business areas.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes related to intellectual property to quickly implement them in the business.
  • Support the team in implementing and updating IP policies and processes to minimize potential risks to the company.
  • Evaluate and manage large projects, including risk analysis, document review, and solutions for complex projects.
  • Actively engage with business areas to support research and/or identify passive assets that can be protected.
  • Manage the budget for the area.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an intellectual property lawyer.
  • Proven experience as in-house counsel in a large company with a significant IP portfolio in Latin America.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with short deadlines and prioritize demands.
  • Excellent organization and ability to work on multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and business orientation.
