Financial Leadership Opportunity
Munich Re is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our Brazilian subsidiary. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for managing all financial functions, including accounting, controlling, actuarial, investments, and treasury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage integrated accounting teams to ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Contribute to client workshops and trainings, providing strategic financial insights to client deal teams.
  • Interface with headquarters, representing the subsidiary's interests in financial and business controls.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting packages to Munich, focusing on quarterly IFRS and Solvency II closing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of local reporting demands, including external audits and monthly statutory reports.
  • Implement group-wide projects, such as IFRS 17 and IFRS 9.
  • Secure ongoing fulfillment of local regulatory and capital requirements, maintaining an efficient capital position.
  • Drive effective retrocession buying for all business lines, involving multiple partners.
  • Offer strategic consultancy to headquarters and local management, presenting transparency on value drivers and VBM-based portfolio steering.

Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced professional with excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, a global mindset, and strong knowledge in IFRS standards, controlling, actuarial, taxation, corporate finance, and regulatory topics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CA).
  • Experience working in a multinational environment.
  • Knowledge of Portuguese or other regional languages.
