As part of our Underwriting team, you'll review new and existing deals holistically by analyzing merchant compliance frameworks and risk controls.

You'll evaluate merchant applications, assess credit and reputational risk, and perform complex corporate structure analysis. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide secure payment options to consumers and merchants worldwide.

About the Role
  • Evaluate merchant applications and supporting documentation to assess Merchant's credit and reputational risk.
  • Review financial statements and/or business tax returns and perform analysis to recommend merchant's risk ratings.
  • Analyze complex corporate structures, beneficial ownership and licensing requirements, coordinating with Compliance and Legal teams as needed.
  • Review industry information and comparisons, key risks and mitigants to form a general risk overview of merchants.
  • Summarize analysis in concise credit memo and complete all required underwriting checklists.
  • Underwrite according to applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct periodic reviews for existing merchants to facilitate ongoing risk monitoring and management.
  • Maintain productivity standard goals as established by management.
  • Assist the Commercial team with customer calls for larger merchants requiring explanation of specific credit risks, internal credit policies and/or underwriting decisions.
