About the Role

Join our vibrant team and contribute to shaping the future of quality assurance. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer who is proactive and eager to grow in the field of Quality Assurance.

  • Manual Testing: Execute test cases for new features, regression cycles, and bug fixes across web and mobile platforms.
  • Test Documentation: Write and maintain clear test suites, test cases, and checklists in tools like TestRail or similar.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with QA leads, developers, and product managers to understand features and define quality expectations.
  • Bug Reporting: Identify, isolate, and report bugs and usability issues with clear documentation and reproduction steps.
  • Automation Support: Assist in expanding automated test coverage.
  • Quality Advocacy: Help promote a culture of quality throughout the product development cycle.
Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with strong attention to detail, basic QA concepts, and technical curiosity.

  • Experience: 6+ months of experience in software testing, internships, or freelance projects count.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or edge cases.
  • Basic QA Concepts: Understanding of SDLC, STLC, bug life cycle, and different types of testing (functional, UI, regression, smoke).
  • Tools: Familiar with at least one bug tracking system (e.g., Jira) and test documentation tools.
  • Technical Curiosity: Interest in learning test automation and basic scripting.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written English skills; ability to work in a remote, async team.
Nice to Have

Applicants with exposure to frontend debugging tools (e.g., browser dev tools), API testing using tools like Postman, and experience testing React/Next.js-based applications will have an advantage.

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET.
