Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to lead its foreign exchange trading operations in Latin America. This role requires a deep understanding of the region's financial markets, regulatory environments, and key players.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trading across multiple currencies in the LATAM region, identifying and engaging new partners to enhance liquidity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic local insights on fund flows and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective hedging strategies to mitigate FX risk.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other partners in the region.
  • Negotiate favorable FX spreads with counterparties, ensuring fair pricing and cost control.
  • Analyze market data and use financial tools to make informed trading decisions.
  • Implement new technologies and enhancements to improve FX Trading and Funding, with the support of a dedicated treasury engineering team.
  • Continuously assess the impact of changes in regulation and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in FX trading, treasury management, or financial services, with a focus on Latin American markets.
  • Deep understanding of the LATAM FX ecosystem, including regulatory environments, market trends, and key players.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other partners in the region.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and access to funding sources.
  • Expertise in managing FX risk and implementing effective hedging strategies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market data and using financial tools to make informed trading decisions.
  • Experience with electronic trading platforms and algorithmic execution strategies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for remittance and FX operations in LATAM countries.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish language skills highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent our organization to external partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.
