Job Title: Safeguarding Adults Board Chair

This is a senior leadership position that requires an outstanding individual with proven experience of chairing complex meetings at a strategic level.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead and oversee the implementation of effective safeguarding practices, ensuring all partner agencies collaborate to promote the welfare and improve outcomes for adults in Cheshire West and Chester.

  • Key Responsibilities: Lead the Local Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB), provide strategic direction, and ensure robust scrutiny and challenge.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with various agencies to enhance safeguarding efforts.
  • Analyse complex information to inform decision-making and drive positive change.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Negotiation and Influencing: Demonstrate excellent negotiation and influencing skills to build productive partnerships and drive collaboration.
  • Leadership and Vision: Provide strong leadership and strategic vision to guide the LSAB and its partners.
  • Operational Understanding: Possess a good operational and strategic understanding of the safeguarding adult's agenda.
Benefits:

This is a permanent position with up to 25 days attendance per annum. The fees paid for this role are on a day-rate basis (8 hours a day).

The ideal candidate must endorse the key principles of making safeguarding personal and be able to influence practice focused on outcomes for people.
