About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Game Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon, where you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative cloud-based learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of architects, artists, designers, engineers, and testers to design, deliver, maintain, and operate multiple cloud-based learning products.
  • Drive our game tech stack and promote best practices to produce high-quality games, and coach less tenured engineers.
  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to influence our long-term strategy and establish the team's roadmap.
  • Make data-driven decisions by leveraging industry landscape from engineering, gaming, and training, as well as user feedback and telemetry data.
  • Write high-quality code.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with Unity, Unreal, CryEngine, Lumberyard, or proprietary 3D game engine, or industry-equivalent technology.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese (verbal and written).
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in the Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
