This role requires a wide variety of skills and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of Unix Shell scripts, Python, and automation tools like Ansible
  • Experience in handling IBM Power hardware and related products
  • Expertise in AIX Operating System Maintenance
  • PowerVM, VIOS, Power Firmware, and HMC Maintenance
  • GPFS Maintenance
  • Systems Management agents/tools Maintenance and testing
  • Familiarity with open-source development models and related tools, such as bug tracking and source code control
  • Knowledge of security-related technologies, including system lockdown, cyber protection, authentication, entitlement, encryption, and APIs
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with clear communication
  • Quality assurance and system performance testing experience
  • Technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
  • Understanding of cloud, virtualization, and modern software languages
