Logistics Operations Specialist

As a critical member of our global logistics team, the Logistics Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our logistics systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze system functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Track data flows and completeness within the FourKites platform.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system errors to minimize disruptions.
  • Standardize monitoring processes by ensuring consistent execution of tasks across locations.
  • Collaborate with local and global logistics teams to streamline processes and implement best practices.
  • Use data insights to optimize system performance and drive continuous improvement.
Key Systems to Monitor:
  • EDI Processing (Electronic Data Interchange)
    • EDI transactions facilitate seamless data exchange with external logistics partners.
    • Data flows from our internal TMS to Fourkites to ensure data flow and accuracy for all shipments.
    • The specialist will monitor EDI processing errors from SAP EBS to 3PL-WMS, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of transaction failures.
    • Responsibilities include tracking EDI failures, identifying root causes, and working with internal teams or external partners to correct both timeliness and quality in a timely manner.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, management information systems, or transportation.
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or operations is highly valued.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to complex information systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in working with external carrier partners on EDI Quality and Timeliness.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems, SAP EBS, or UC4 job processing.
  • Experience with error resolution, root cause analysis, and performance tracking.
