We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to lead our local accounting function in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance, accounting, or audit and be knowledgeable about Brazilian tax legislation.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the FinOps team and report directly to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with all Brazilian tax laws, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
  2. Lead local audits and work closely with internal teams and external auditors.
  3. Support tax regime optimization, including potential transition to Lucro Real and transfer pricing considerations.
  4. Own financial reporting and regulatory submissions for Brazil, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  5. Implement and optimize finance systems and integrations.
  6. Collaborate with global finance and executive teams to support decision-making and reporting.
  7. Identify and mitigate financial risks while supporting long-term scalability in the region.
Requirements
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or audit - ideally starting in a Big 4 firm.
  • Strong command of Brazilian tax legislation, compliance, and Lucro Real regime.
  • Previous experience in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Hands-on experience improving financial processes and systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting/ERP platforms.
  • Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English.
