Purchasing Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Supply Chain team in Sorocaba, Brazil. As a Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that negotiations and procurement are carried out professionally regarding commercial, legal, and ethical aspects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring optimal procurement by market scanning
• Carrying out contract negotiating for optimizing purchase contracts
• Following up purchase orders to ensure delivery takes place as agreed
• Dealing with rejected and non-conforming components according to instructions
• Building supplier relationships and working on supplier development
• Contract management
• Establishing and continuously developing strategies for your supplier base and category

To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• University degree in Engineering or Administration
• Advanced level of English, written and oral
• Advanced knowledge in Office package, mainly in Excel, Power Point, and Word
• Experience working with ERP
• Solid experience in purchasing
• Experience with strategic sourcing is highly desirable
• Strong influencing and communication skills, proactivity, interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to achieve results in a matrix, global organization
• Availability to work in Sorocaba/SP/Brazil
