Primary Functions

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to oversee our Brazil operations. This role will be responsible for driving process excellence across accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of customer billing. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in the Order to Cash (O2C) process.

  • Drive process excellence for accounting operations in Brazil.
  • Manage all aspects of order management and operational billing.
  • Supervise tax and reporting compliance for Brazil.
  • Manage the relationship and activities of independent public accountants and third-party accounting firms.
  • Oversee local accounting and reporting systems.
  • Monitor the accounting function using established metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee in-house teams and 3rd party service providers.
  • Review and coordinate monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and manage audits for US GAAP and statutory purposes.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and safeguards.
  • Develop and manage direct reports.
  • Provide financial data and present financial reports.

Secondary Functions

This role also involves:

  • Protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Providing leadership in strengthening internal communications.
  • Translating complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
  • At least 10 years of related experience in finance and accounting for a major multinational company.
  • Local CPA or Public Accounting certification, preferably with Big 4 experience.
  • Fluent English language skills and knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience working with accounting systems, software, financial reports, audits, and corporate tax.
  • Prior experience in billing operations and revenue recognition.
  • International accounting and Brazilian tax experience.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
