Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. This position requires experience in Linux system administration, automation, and scripting.

  • About the Job:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage Linux system infrastructure, primarily Red Hat and Oracle Linux. You will also develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and deployment automation. Additionally, you will use Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to manage enterprise-wide automation strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Red Hat and Oracle Linux system administration, automation with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform, as well as deep expertise in Linux patching, scripting, and GIT version control. They will be responsible for performing advanced Linux patching, security updates, and OS hardening. The candidate will also write and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks.

  • Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have 5+ years of experience in Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux). They should also have strong proficiency in Ansible, including custom module development and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) in enterprise environments is also required. Advanced bash scripting skills for automation and system tasks are essential. Proficient in GIT for version control and collaboration is necessary. Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning and patch management is preferred.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Experience with other scripting languages such as Python or Perl is also beneficial. Familiarity with configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools is advantageous. Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with Linux workloads is a plus.
