Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring clear learning milestones are met.
  • Maintain efficient systems for introducing new materials, tools, and technologies to support student growth.
  • Champion a culture of creativity and experimentation, empowering students to build, tinker, and repair.
  • Train learners to use maker-space tools safely and independently, fostering a sense of ownership and agency.
  • Collaborate with homeroom teachers and arts specialists to co-plan engaging learning journeys that cater to diverse needs and interests.
  • Document and showcase learners' theories, drafts, and iterations (e-portfolios, exhibitions).
  • Curate workshops, talks, and external partnerships that broaden perspectives and inspire innovation.

You will also engage in ongoing action research on emerging materials, techniques, and pedagogies; share insights and iterate practice with the team. Report project progress to key stakeholders through concise, data-rich updates.

Requirements and Skills:
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Portuguese (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
  • 3+ years as a Lead/Reference Teacher or Specialist Teacher in an innovative or bilingual setting.
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Design, Arts, Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL), maker spaces, or Instructional Design.
